Meet Fivex3 Member, Rosemary: Strength Training and Myasthenia Gravis

Deadlifting

Rosemary joined Fivex3 in January of 2019. She had dabbled with weights before but nothing really serious. About a year ago, she was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis (MG), a chronic autoimmune disease which causes muscle weakness. When she researched strength training and MG, she found very little but she did find one article. She came in to discuss her concerns with me but we were both convinced that strength training could only make things better, not worse. And we were right. 😉

You can read her story here on the Starting Strength website: https://startingstrength.com/training/strength-training-and-myasthenia-gravis
