8th Annual Charm City Strongwoman Contest

The 8th Annual Charm City Strongwoman Contest is here!!
This contest is a Memorial Contest for my sister Charlotte Giza who died on February 11, 2015 after a 3 1/2 year battle with colon cancer. She was my inspiration and my other half. She was also as strong as she was beautiful. This contest is for her and for ALL the strong women out there.
The contest will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 9am – 3pm at Fivex3 Training, 4015 Foster Avenue, Suite 200, Baltimore, MD 21224.
There are seven divisions. The limit is 20 women per division.
Lightweight Novice: 140 and under
Middleweight Novice:140.1-185
Heavyweight Novice: 185.1 and over
Lightweight Open: 140 and under
Middleweight Open: 140.1 – 185
Heavyweight Open: 185.1 and over
Masters
(Masters: Women 40 and up. Must be 40 years young on or before September 15, 2019. Masters will lift the same weights as LW Open. )
(n.b. The meet directors reserve the right to move you from class to class based on their discretion the day of the event. Divisions will be combined if there are not more than 5 in a division.)

2019 EVENTS

(Important Note: The weights and events below are subject to change.)
1) Weight for Height:
Each contestant has 60 seconds to throw six medicine balls to a specific height. Novice: 10 feet; Open: 12 feet; Masters: 10 feet
2) Power Stairs
Each contestant has 60 seconds to pick up the weight and put it on the platform for as many reps as possible.
LWN: 185lbs
MWN: 200lbs
HWN: 225lbs
LWO/MA: 200lbs
MWO: 225lbs
HWO: 250lbs

3) Circus Dumbbell Press
Each contestant has 60 seconds to clean and press the dumbbell for as many reps as possible.
LWN: 50lbs

4) Husafell Carry
Each competitor will carry the Husafell stone for max distance.
LWN: 125lbs

5) Stone Over Bar
Each competitor will have 60 seconds to put the stone over a bar for as many reps as possible.
LWN: 115lbs

We also have a Fundraising Page through Ulman to help raise money for the organization. We will begin fundraising in July. All proceeds from the Charm City Strongwoman Contest benefit the Ulman Foundation, who create a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer.
Registration Information
REGISTRATION FORM: Please download the registration form by clicking here. Every competitor will be required to sign a waiver the day of the event in order to participate in the contest.
REGISTRATION FEE: The registration fee is $55.  THE REGISTRATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS. Once you have completed the registration form, you will be sent a Pay Pal link and will pay using the Pay Pal button. THE REGISTRATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
All profit will benefit the Ulman Foundation for prevention and research. We are raising money specifically for the Ulman House, a home away from home for cancer patients and their families.
We will also be doing a Charm City Strongwoman Raffle to help benefit Ulman. We will raffle off baskets as well as gift cards to local Charm City businesses. 😉
WEIGH-IN’S: Weigh-in’s will be held on Saturday, September 14 from 10am- 2pm and on Sunday, September 15 from 8-9:00am.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: Registration is open until August 31, 2019. However, if you would like a t-shirt, please get your registration in by August 15, 2019. Thank you!
